Dr Natasha Davison

Clinical & Health Psychologist

Melbourne & Australia

Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or not quite yourself—despite everything looking ‘fine’?

You’re managing life. Showing up. Doing what needs to be done.

But something isn’t sitting right—and you’d like it to feel easier again.

I work with adults across Melbourne and Australia via online sessions, offering practical, effective, and down-to-earth support for anxiety, health concerns, sleep, stress, and life changes—without it feeling heavy or overly clinical.

Hands Offering Support

A DIFFERENT KIND OF SUPPORT

Most people go through times in life where things feel harder than they expected.

You might be functioning well on the outside—but internally something feels wrong, you feel stuck, or things feel harder than usual.

It’s common for everyday people to experience this during difficult times in their lives. And you don’t have to wait until things get worse to get support.

Often, having the right kind of help at the right time can help make things feel clearer, more manageable, and more settled again.

You might notice things like:

  • Your mind just won’t switch off

  • You’re often overthinking, doubting, or second-guessing yourself

  • Health concerns and symptoms are taking up more time and space in your mind

  • Sleep isn’t leaving you feeling rested, in fact it feels exhausting

  • Work or daily life feels like a bigger effort than it used to – you’re just trying to get through the day

  • You find yourself thinking, “I should be coping better than this” or “Why am I feeling this way?

With over 20 years of experience as a registered clinical and health psychologist, I bring both professional expertise and real-world understanding to the work that we do together.

My approach is direct, practical, and tailored to you and your needs.

Together, we’ll:

  • Get a clearer understanding of what’s going on

  • Notice patterns that might be keeping things stuck

  • Work through strategies that you can use in your day-to-day life

  • Address underlying sources of stress and unhelpful patterns

  • Help you to feel steady, clear, and back in control

There’s no pressure for you to have the “right” words or to explain everything perfectly. We start wherever you’re at and work through it together.

During our sessions, I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches depending on what works best for you. This includes using:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Clinical Hypnosis

  • Solution-Focused approaches

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

HOW I WORK

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence based therapy that helps the brain process and make sense of difficult or distressing experiences.

Sometimes, past experiences—whether recent or from earlier in life—can remain “unprocessed” and will continue to affect how you feel, think, and respond in the present.

EMDR works by helping the brain to reprocess these experiences in a way that reduces their emotional intensity and impact, allowing them to feel more resolved and less intrusive over time.

EMDR can be helpful for trauma, anxiety, stress, and many other situations where past experiences continue to influence how you’re feeling, thinking, and behaving now.

ARE WE A GOOD FIT?

I tend to work with adults who are generally managing in life but feel stuck in a particular area or issue.

I work with people who:

  • Want practical strategies and effective therapeutic approaches —not just somewhere to talk

  • Are open to reflecting on and making meaningful changes in their life

  • Appreciate a calm, grounded, and thoughtful approach

To make sure I’m the best person to support you, I personally review all enquiries.

And if I’m not the best fit, I’ll always let you know and help guide you towards someone who is.

ONLINE SESSIONS

All sessions are currently offered online.

This allows you to access support in a way that’s flexible, private, and easy to fit into your life—without the need to travel.
